To encourage new ventures to invest in the R&D of forward-looking artificial intelligence products and technologies, complete the application verification for key customers, root artificial intelligence in the industry and create innovative products/services with international competitiveness, the science and technology policy expert group from the Board of Science and Technology, the Executive Yuan (BOST) and the Department of Industrial Technology, MOEA jointly planned and implemented the “AI Innovative Pioneering Program”. In the comprehensive review opinions of the expert group, the AI image aided lung cancer diagnosis system in our development plan can integrate AI image identification in a streamlined process to reduce the workload of radiologists and thoracologists, and further improve the diagnosis speed and treatment quality for the doctors. The intelligent image aided lung cancer diagnosis system has three core AI functions, including AI screening of LDCT lung nodules, AI automatic marking of cancerous areas under the microscope, and AI-aided real-time cytological counting. There is a sound plan to develop clinical application potential.
